Damping silicone oil is suitable for precision instruments.

A new product of wide temperature range and high stability damping silicone oil has been launched to the market. It is mainly used for buffering and shock absorption in precision measuring instruments, surveying equipment, and aviation instruments, filling the gap of domestic high-end damping materials.
Ordinary damping oil has large viscosity fluctuations due to temperature changes. It becomes thicker at low temperatures and more dilute at high temperatures, causing instrument pointers and lenses to become stuck or shake, and resulting in measurement errors. The new damping silicone oil, relying on a composite silicon oxide modification process, has a viscosity change range of less than 5% within the temperature range of -45℃ to 180℃, with uniform and stable damping force.
The product has no volatility and does not corrode metal and plastic components. It is filled inside surveying level meters, laboratory balances, and aviation instrument rotating shafts to buffer vibration and impact, ensuring accurate readings in equipment under jolting conditions. Compared with traditional mineral damping oil, the service life of silicone oil is increased by more than 5 times, and the instrument does not require secondary oil replacement throughout its lifetime.
Surveying and laboratory equipment manufacturing enterprises have long relied on imported damping silicone oil. Domestic IOTA damping silicone oil has comparable performance to international first-line products and has obvious price advantages. With the acceleration of the domestic process of manufacturing precision instruments, the demand for high-end damping silicone oil is steadily released, becoming a core category of small-scale and high-value-added silicone oil.
