The high refractive index optical-grade silicone oil has completed the production line debugging and officially started production. It focuses on the manufacturing of AR and VR optical lenses and micro-projector lenses, breaking the long-term monopoly of overseas materials.
The refractive index of ordinary silicone oil is only 1.41, which is difficult to meet the imaging requirements of high-definition optical devices. This new product has undergone phenolic deep modification, with a refractive index of up to 1.58, a transmittance of over 99%, no yellowing or fogging. As a filling liquid for lenses and an optical coupling medium, it can effectively optimize the optical path, reduce the size of the lens, and improve the imaging clarity.
The product has excellent thermal stability. It will not experience optical performance degradation even under long-term strong light exposure. It will not produce bubbles or stratification in high and low temperature environments. It is suitable for outdoor AR glasses, vehicle-mounted projectors, and household micro-projectors. At the same time, the material has strong biological inertness, and there is no irritation when in contact with the eyes, meeting the safety standards for wearing optical equipment.
Previously, domestic optical manufacturers could only import similar silicone oil at high prices. After the domestic new product was launched, the procurement cost of optical lens raw materials decreased by 27%. Many optical equipment enterprises have started sample testing, and the order scheduling has continued to lengthen. High refractive index optical silicone oil has become a new growth point in the organic silicon high-end market segment.
