In the coatings and inks industry, hydroxyl silicone oil emulsions can be used as additives to improve product performance. In the agricultural field, hydroxyl silicone oil emulsion can be used as a pesticide enhancer. It has extremely low surface tension, enabling the pesticide solution to quickly spread and penetrate on target surfaces such as plant leaves and insect bodies. This allows for a more even coverage of the solution, reducing the loss of droplets and allowing the pesticide to more effectively contact the pests. As a result, the pesticide utilization rate is increased and the control effect is enhanced. During actual use, it is usually added during the preparation stage of the pesticide solution, with an addition ratio of 0.05% - 0.2% of the pesticide dilution solution. The specific amount may vary depending on factors such as the pesticide formulation, the target pest, and the application environment. 
In the cosmetics industry, hydroxyl silicone oil emulsions are commonly used in the formulation design of skin care products. Their excellent moisturizing and spreading properties enable the emulsions, creams, and other products to be applied more smoothly during application, quickly forming a breathable film on the skin surface, locking in skin moisture, and enhancing the moisturizing effect. At the same time, the reactive activity of hydroxyl silicone oil allows it to cross-link with other active ingredients in the formula (such as amino acids, plant extracts), stabilizing the emulsion system structure and preventing stratification. For example, in anti-wrinkle essence, it not only enhances the product's skin feel but also assists the penetration of active ingredients, synergistically improving anti-aging efficacy, making the skin feel soft and having better luster, and meeting consumers' dual needs for the comfort and functionality of skin care products. 
In the field of automotive interior component demolding, hydroxyl silicone oil emulsion plays a crucial role as a high-performance demolding agent. Automotive interior components such as dashboards and door panels are mostly produced by injection molding. During the demolding process, if the performance of the demolding agent is insufficient, it may cause surface scratches or residues on the products. The hydroxyl silicone oil emulsion, with its low surface tension and excellent film-forming properties, can form a uniform and ultra-thin lubricating film on the mold surface, significantly reducing the adhesion between the product and the mold, making it easy to demold complex-structured interior components. At the same time, this emulsion has strong chemical stability and will not react with interior component materials (such as PP, PVC, etc.), and has extremely low residue, avoiding contamination in subsequent spraying, bonding, etc., ensuring the surface smoothness and assembly accuracy of the interior components, and improving the production efficiency and yield rate of automotive interiors. 
In the paper industry, hydroxyl silicone oil emulsion can be used for anti-sticking treatment and surface sizing of paper. When added to the sizing solution, it can form a smooth and low surface energy organic silicone film layer on the surface of the paper, effectively preventing the paper from sticking due to ink, glue and other substances during printing and packaging processes, thereby improving the processing efficiency of the paper. At the same time, this emulsion can enhance the water resistance and flexibility of the paper, and is particularly suitable for special types of paper such as food packaging paper and release paper. For example, in the production of baking food packaging paper, after being treated with hydroxyl silicone oil emulsion, the paper not only has anti-oil and anti-water properties, but also ensures that the food can be easily separated from the packaging paper, meeting food contact safety standards, and having both functionality and safety. 
In the field of architectural coatings, hydroxyl silicone oil emulsions are often used as high-performance film-forming additives and modification agents. When added to exterior latex paints or waterproof coatings, the silicon hydroxyl groups can cross-link with the active groups in the coating resins, enhancing the weather resistance and stain resistance of the paint film. For example, on the exterior surfaces of buildings exposed to harsh environments such as ultraviolet rays and acid rain, coatings modified with hydroxyl silicone oil emulsions can effectively prevent problems such as flaking, discoloration, and cracking; their low surface energy properties can also form a hydrophobic protective film on the paint film surface, making it difficult for dust and water stains to adhere, achieving self-cleaning effects, and extending the maintenance period and service life of architectural coatings, suitable for high-rise building exteriors, bridge anti-corrosion coatings, and other long-term outdoor scenarios. 
Hydroxy silicone oil emulsion can be used as a waterproofing, softening and anti-sticking treatment agent for leather. In leather coating, it can enhance the water resistance of the coating, giving leather a better feel and appearance. Due to the reactive silicon hydroxyl groups at the ends or in the middle of its main chain, it can undergo cross-linking reactions with some components in the leather, forming a uniform organic silicone film on the surface of the leather. This not only effectively prevents water from penetrating, but also keeps the leather soft in texture, prevents the leather products from sticking during storage and use, prolongs the service life of the leather, and improves the quality of the leather products. 
In lithium-ion batteries, the hydroxyl silicone oil emulsion can be used as a conductive filler material for batteries with high-rate charging and discharging as well as batteries operating in high/low temperature environments. It can enhance the conductivity and thermal stability of the battery. For instance, it has a breakthrough application in the modification of whisker carbon nanotubes. By combining with materials such as whisker carbon nanotubes, it can improve the conductive performance within the battery, allowing lithium ions to transfer more smoothly within the battery, thereby increasing the charging and discharging efficiency and cycle performance of the battery. Additionally, its excellent thermal stability helps the battery maintain stable performance in different temperature environments, reduces battery performance degradation caused by temperature changes, and extends the battery's service life.
