Unlike anionic hydroxyl silicone oil emulsion, cationic hydroxyl silicone oil emulsion is an organosilicon material emulsified by cationic surfactants.
1. Softness and smoothness: It can endow fabrics with good softness and smoothness.
2. Water repellency: It is an ideal water repellent. When used in combination with methyl hydrogen silicone oil emulsion, the water repellency and durability are higher.
3. Elasticity enhancement: It can improve the elasticity of fabrics.
4. Abrasion resistance and washability: The treated fabrics are abrasion-resistant and washable.
· Textile finishing: It is used for the finishing of cotton, linen, silk, wool, synthetic fibers and their fabrics to improve the hand feel of fabrics.
· Thread industry: It is used to treat high-speed sewing threads to enhance the strength and toughness of the threads.
· Leather and rubber industry: It is used as a release agent for surface protection of leather and demolding of rubber and plastic products.
1. Compatibility issues: Special attention should be paid to the compatibility of cationic systems with other materials, especially when mixed with anionic systems, which may cause demulsification.
2. Stability issues: The stability of cationic hydroxyl silicone oil emulsion is relatively poor and it is prone to "oil floating" phenomenon.
3. Incompatibility with hard water: This emulsion is not compatible with hard water and cannot be used with certain resins (such as 2D resin) and catalysts (such as magnesium chloride).
· Process compatibility: If the process involves anionic auxiliaries, it is recommended to use anionic hydroxyl silicone oil emulsion first to avoid demulsification problems.
· Stability requirements: If high stability of the emulsion is required or hard water resistance is needed, it is recommended to use composite ionic or non-ionic hydroxyl silicone oil emulsion.
· Specific requirements: If water repellency is particularly emphasized, cationic hydroxyl silicone oil emulsion is a good choice.
