Hydrogen containing silicone oil is a key product in silicone oil varieties. It is not only the starting material for many modified silicone oils, but also can obtain various modified silicone oils through silicon hydrogen addition reactions, such as polyether modified silicone oil, long-chain alkyl silicone oil, epoxy modified silicone oil, etc.
According to the different hydrogen contents, hydrogen containing silicone oil can be divided into high hydrogen containing silicone oil and low hydrogen containing silicone oil.
1、 What is high hydrogen silicone oil?
Scientific name: Polymethylhydrogensiloxane, is a colorless and transparent liquid.
High hydrogen silicone oil, as a special type of organic silicon compound, has shown wide application prospects in multiple industrial fields due to its unique molecular structure and chemical properties. It is a linear polydimethylsiloxane with high reactivity and stability, and is an important raw material and intermediate for many chemical reactions.

High hydrogen silicone oil is a chemical substance with excellent properties, which has a wide range of applications in multiple fields.
1. Waterproof treatment of building materials and decorative materials: High hydrogen silicone oil can be used as a waterproof agent and applied to the surface of building materials such as glass, ceramics, leather, paper, metal, cement, marble, etc., forming an effective waterproof film to improve the waterproof performance and service life of the material.
2. Textile industry: It can be used as a finishing agent for fabric fibers such as cotton, linen, silk, acrylic, polyester, etc., to improve the waterproof, anti fouling, and durability of the fabric, while also improving its hand feel and drape. When shared with methyl hydroxy silicone oil lotion, it can be waterproof and maintain the air permeability of the fabric, improve the tear strength, friction strength and antifouling property, and improve the hand feel and sewing performance.

5、 Preparation method of high hydrogen silicone oil
The methylchlorosilane direct hydrolysis equilibrium method can be used. The specific steps are as follows:
Raw material preparation: The main raw materials are methyl (hydrogen) dichlorosilane and trimethylchlorosilane, among which methyl (hydrogen) dichlorosilane is the main raw material, and trimethylchlorosilane is used as a capping agent.
Hydrolysis equilibrium reaction: The main raw material methyl (hydrogen) dichlorosilane is subjected to hydrolysis equilibrium reaction with the capping agent trimethylchlorosilane to obtain hydrolysis products.
Acid removal treatment: Separate and remove the acidic water from the hydrolysis products.
Catalytic equilibrium reaction: Add concentrated sulfuric acid as a catalyst to carry out equilibrium reaction.
Acid separation treatment: Separate and remove sulfuric acid.
Water washing and acid removal: Wash the product with water to remove residual acidic substances.
Low molecular weight removal: The product is treated to remove low molecular weight substances, resulting in the final product of hydrogen containing silicone oil.
