Silicone: the most widely used synergist in agricultural production!

Organic silicon is the most widely used synergist in agricultural production. When mixed with corresponding pesticides, the utilization rate of pesticides can be significantly improved.

01 Silicones are different from other common drug synergists or active agents:
★ Silicone surface expansion force is smaller, diffusion spreadability, adhesion and penetration, wettability, temperature resistance, and rain erosion resistance are stronger.
★ Can be used with most fungicides, insecticides, herbicides, plant growth regulators and foliar fertilizers on the market to significantly improve the effects of various liquid chemicals.
★ The silicone surface has a super expansion function, making the coverage area of the medicinal solution wider and more uniform, allowing a larger amount of medicinal solution to be absorbed or penetrated on the surface of the leaves and insect bodies, and the control effect is more significant.
★ Silicone can reduce the frequency and cost of medication. It can save up to more than 30% and more than 50% on medication and water consumption respectively.

02 What are the characteristics of spraying with silicone?
1. Super epansion ability, which is more conducive to moistening the target drug with the liquid.
The speadability of the medicinal solution on the surface of plant leaves or the body surface of pests directly affects the efficacy of the medicinal solution. Most plant leaves and pests have epidermal cuticles, waxy layers, villi, or rough surfaces that make it difficult for pesticides to adhere. Spraying pesticides diluted directly with water will be unstable on these surfaces. The addition of silicone can effectively solve these problems and maximize the efficacy of the medicine.
2. The contact angle is smaller, which can greatly improve the spreadability of the drug solution on the drug target.
When the chemical solution is sprayed onto the leaves or pest surfaces, the smaller the contact angle between the chemical solution and them, the better the expansion and distribution of the chemical solution will be, and the better the medication effect will be. Because silicone has a very low surface tension, it can significantly reduce the contact angle of the chemical solution sprayed on plant leaves and pest surfaces, so it can achieve better pesticide effects.
3. Strong scalability, which can greatly increase the coverage area of the liquid on the target.
Adding organic silicone to the liquid can double the coverage area of the crop leaves. This is also an important reason why the use of organic silicone additives can greatly improve the effect of pest control.

4. Strong penetration, absorption and resistance to rainwater erosion, greatly improving the stability of the liquid.
Organic silicon can make the chemical liquid sprayed on the surface of plant leaves and insect bodies penetrate faster, better and more into the target object through the pores. It also has excellent resistance to rain erosion. This is true for the medicinal solution, and the effect of adding silicone to foliar fertilizers is also so obvious, which cannot be compared with the use of medicinal liquids or foliar fertilizers alone.

03 Precautions
When using silicone, there are a few things you should pay special attention to.
1. Ready to use. Use the prepared liquid as soon as possible.
2. Reduce the amount of water used in spraying and speed up the spraying speed appropriately. The amount of spray should be enough to form a water film but not water droplets.
3. During spraying, you should wear protective equipment in accordance with the requirements for using pesticides, and pay special attention to eye protection.
4. It is not recommended to add organic silicon to certain chemicals that are prone to phytotoxicity, such as flusilazole, epoxiconazole, fluazimide, acetylenide, and fenbutyltin.
5. It is best to apply pesticides before 10 am and after 4 pm to avoid high temperature application. Strictly follow the multiple dilution of more than 3000 times.
