Effect of silicone modified polyacrylate pretreatment on the performance of polyester cotton fabric ink-jet printing

Hits: 435 img

In order to improve the printing performance of poly-cotton fabric coating inkjet printing process, some researchers adopted semi-continuous seed emulsion polymerization method, using vinyl acetate, butyl acrylate and isooctyl acrylate as copolymers, and hydroxyethyl acrylate as functional monomers, and introduced silane coupling agent to prepare organosilicone modified polyacrylate emulsion, and applied it to poly-cotton fabric as pretreatment liquid.
The results show that when the mass fraction of polyacrylate emulsion is 2%, the latex film has good thermal stability and water resistance, and the water absorption rate is 16.8%. After the emulsion is applied to the pretreatment of polyester-cotton fabric, the infiltration of ink drops on the fabric can be effectively inhibited, and the area of ink drop infiltration is 20.8mm2. After pretreatment, the wet friction fastness of the printed fabric is improved by half, the printing fineness is increased by about 13%, and the complex pattern still has a good printing effect, showing a good comprehensive printing performance.
