Study on the properties of PDMS modified SiO2 filled FEVE resin hydrophobic coating

Using FEVE resin (tetrafluoroethylene - vinyl monomer copolymer) as the base material, adding PDMS(polydimethylsiloxane) modified micron and nano silica as the filler, supplemented by dispersants, additives and other fillers, by dispersing, mixing and stirring at room temperature, and finally spraying on the surface of the glass substrate to obtain a coating with hydrophobic effect. The coating was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectrometer, contact Angle tester, scanning electron microscope and atomic force microscope. The results show that the coating with PDMS modified silica has good storage stability, the contact Angle of the coating to water can reach 161.81°, the adhesion of the ring method is 1 grade, and the contact Angle of water is still above 140° after 50 wear-resisting tests, which has good pollution resistance and salt water resistance.
