Yongxiu is the cradle of silicone industry in China. Since Jiangxi Spark Plant built the first set of 10,000 tons of silicone monomer device in the 1990s, Yongxiu silicone industry has experienced a development process from scratch, from small to large, from single to diversified, and has now formed a "international leader, domestic leader, the only industrial cluster in the province".

In recent years, Yongxiu County has focused on building the brand of "100 billion industries and the world silicon Capital", deeply implemented the strategy of industrial strength county, and cultivated a more modern and more competitive silicone industry. All along, Yongxiu has promoted the silicone industry as the first industry focus, established 1 billion yuan of silicone industry fund, brought together 157 upstream and downstream and supporting enterprises, the industry correlation degree reached 70%, and developed more than 1,000 silicone and downstream products. Yongxiu silicone industrial cluster for three consecutive years among the top ten of the 100 industrial clusters in Jiangxi Province, last year was selected as a five-star industrial cluster in the province, by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as the 2023 SME characteristic industrial cluster, Yongxiu also won the title of "silicone City".
