In 2023, the total global industrial silicon production capacity is about 8.535 million tons, an increase of 9.7%, and the total production capacity maintains growth, but the year-on-year growth rate has declined. From the perspective of production capacity distribution, China, Brazil, the United States, Norway, France, Russia and Germany are the main industrial silicon producers in the world, among which, China's industrial silicon production capacity occupies an absolute advantage, and in 2023, China's industrial silicon production capacity accounts for 82.1% of the global total production capacity, accounting for a further increase in share. From the perspective of production capacity changes, some new production capacity projects were put into operation, and individual enterprises were upgraded and renovated, and China's new production capacity reached 697,000 tons. The overseas increase mainly came from the production of new capacity projects in Malaysia and Angola, and the new capacity was about 55,000 tons.
