Polyether modified polysiloxane (polyether silicone oil) is formed by chemical bonding between polyether chain segment and polysiloxane chain segment. The hydrophilic polyether segment gives it water solubility, and the hydrophobic and hydrophobic polydimethylsiloxane segment gives it low surface tension. The connection between the polyether chain segment and the polysiloxane can be made in two ways, namely by SI-O-C or SI-C connection. The ether silicone oil on the market mainly has the following five types: SI-O-C main chain type (formula 1), SI-O-C side chain type (formula 2), SI-C side chain type (formula 3), SI-C two-end type (formula 4) and SI-C single-end type (formula 5). Among them, I-O-C products are unstable and easy to be hydrolyzed, so they are also called hydrolyzed; Si-c products are stable to water, also known as non-hydrolytic, because of better stability, SI-C products occupy a dominant position in the market. Due to its excellent structure, polyether silicone oil has been widely used as polyurethane foam levelling agent, emulsifier, personal protection products raw materials, coating leveling agent, fabric hydrophilic anti-static and soft finishing agent, self-emulsifying defoamer, water-soluble lubricant and glass anti-fogging agent, and has become a variety of modified silicone oil with the largest output.
