During the entire process of rubber vulcanization and the curing of rubber products, special silicone oil is used. This solves problems such as rubber sticking to the mold, aging, whitening, and decreased elasticity. It is widely used in the production of sealing strips, silicone accessories, and rubber pipes.
Before rubber vulcanization, the mold is sprayed with silicone oil for demolding. After high-temperature vulcanization, the rubber products can be easily peeled off, with a smooth surface without any defects. The sealing rings and silicone tableware produced with this method have significantly improved the yield of good products. During the mixing stage, silicone oil lubricants are added to enhance the fluidity of rubber raw materials, facilitating extrusion and calendering processing, and reducing equipment wear.
After the rubber products are cured, a silicone oil maintenance agent is applied to the surface, forming a hydrophobic and UV-resistant protective film. The rubber sealing strips and water pipe rubber rings used in doors and windows will not harden or crack over a long period of use, and the phenomenon of frosting and whitening will be delayed. Food-grade silicone oil can be used in the processing of silicone kitchenware, which is non-toxic and does not have any leaching, and complies with food contact safety standards.
Ordinary mineral oil will corrode rubber, causing elasticity reduction. Silicone oil has strong chemical inertness and will not react with rubber molecules. With the expansion of the market for sealing parts and daily-use silicone products, the orders for special silicone oil for rubber processing have continued to grow. Modified siloxane additives have become a necessary material in the rubber and plastic industry.
