When it comes to Longjiang River, many people frown - this one runs northward from Dinghuaimen street to Liwei River, with a total length of 1475m. Because the river is narrow, there is no natural make-up water, and the water is shallow and unable to flow, although it is managed every year, the effect is not good, and there will still be an unpleasant smell in summer. On November 14, 2019, Gulou District government and Hehai University signed the agreement of "expert River chief" to assign an expert River chief to each river in the district. Professor Tang Deshan chose the Longjiang river. After that, he went to Longjiang river for many times to investigate and give relevant suggestions.
On the same day, the expert group inspected the water quality, drainage outlet, flow direction and other conditions of Longjiang river. The results of field measurement showed that the water quality on that day did not meet the water quality standard of class V water, which was a light black odor.
Create a number of "ecological demonstration rivers"
The reporter learned that in recent years, Gulou District Water Affairs Bureau has made great efforts to fight the "water pollution prevention and control battle" in coordination with various departments and streets. Through three steps of actively focusing on construction, strong management and solid results, it has basically eliminated the poor class V water body, and created a number of "ecological demonstration rivers", making the water clear of the green riverbank and the shallow bottom of the fish, and becoming a good place for people to be close to the water and hydrophilic. However, due to the long-term accumulation of Longjiang River, the river water quality has not reached the standard.
Suggestions and measures based on this, under the initiative of Professor Tang Deshan, Professor Ju Maosen, executive deputy director of the research and Training Center for river system of Hehai University, specially organized a number of professors such as Li Yiping, Chen Mingzhao, Zhu Jianzhong, who are experts in water environment, to conduct on-site observation and reconnaissance, carry out consultation and pulse checking, and discuss demonstration measures to meet the standards. Experts put forward relevant suggestions and measures on how to improve the water quality of Longjiang River:
First of all, strengthen the hydrodynamic force. The expert group said: the water is not rotten. Only by optimizing the operation of pump stations and sluices, can the river flow and improve the water quality;
Secondly, we should strengthen pollution control. According to the field observation, there is still sewage flowing into the river course of Longjiang river. It is necessary to find out the source as soon as possible, solve the problem of rainwater and sewage mixing, and do a good job in sewage interception;
Moreover, the construction of aerobic wetland. According to the field survey, the 2-meter-long blank belt on the West Bank of the Hebei section of the Longjiang River is suitable for the construction of an oxygen increasing wetland to improve the water quality of this section. The expert group suggests to build a demonstration model of water quality improvement here.
On the spot, the expert group also proposed that the Longjiang River needs to further strengthen management and protection, increase investment, further implement responsibility and pay attention to assessment results. At the same time, the expert River directors also said that they would continue to assist Gulou District in promoting effective measures to patrol, protect and love the river, and contribute to the realization of the goal of "clear water, green bank and shallow bottom".
