Research background
It is inevitable that there is friction between textile fabrics and clothing in the process of wearing, transportation, storage and washing. Fabric or clothing will fade. When wearing products with poor color fastness, in case of rain or perspiration, the molecules or heavy metal ions in the dye fall off the surface of the fabric, and contact with the human skin, the part of the skin in contact with the fabric will appear pruritus, in serious cases, there will be erythema, pimples, etc., leading to contact dermatitis. Therefore, the fastness to abrasion (dry / wet rubbing) is particularly important for the application of textiles.
test method
Dry friction: fix the dry friction cloth on the friction head of the tester, so that the longitudinal direction of the friction cloth is consistent with the running direction of the friction head. In the length direction of dry friction sample, 20 times of back and forth friction, the reciprocating range is 80mm, and the vertical pressure is 9N.
Wet friction: use wet friction cloth to operate according to the dry friction step. The wet rubbing cloth must be soaked with distilled water, and the rolling liquid device shall be used to make its water content about 95%. After the friction, it shall be dried at room temperature.

This is because a large amount of fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether and other non-ionic surfactants are needed as emulsifiers when amino silicone oil forms stable emulsion. A large amount of emulsifier is also the solvent of dye, which causes the dye on the fabric to fall off easily.
There are a lot of high active urea and carbamate in the molecular structure of resin modified silicone oil, which has excellent film-forming performance. A micro protective film is formed between the fabric and the external friction material, so the dye is not easy to fall off.

Detection and representation
After the fabrics are treated with different kinds of silicone oil and the moisture returns to the standard atmosphere for 2 hours, the color change data Δ L *, Δ a *, Δ b * of the finished fabric and the reference sample fabric are tested with the Datacolor colorimeter, Δ e, etc. (where Δ L * is the lightness variable, positive value indicates that the color becomes brighter and lighter, negative value indicates that it becomes darker and darker; Δ a * is red green color light, positive value indicates that it is red light, negative value indicates that it is green light; Δ B * is yellow blue light, positive value indicates that it is yellow light, negative value indicates that it is blue light; Δ e is the standard deviation, the greater the value indicates the color change.)

The overall order of color and light change is: rh-nb-6088-3 < rh-nb-6088-5 < traditional block silicone oil < amino silicone oil. In terms of whiteness, the yellow of amino silicone oil is larger than that of resin modified silicone oil. The sequence of yellowing is: rh-nb-6088-3 < rh-nb-6088-5 < traditional block silicone oil < amino silicone oil.
This may be due to the excellent film-forming property of resin modified silicone oil and the formation of a protective layer on the surface of the fabric after the combination of the dye and the fabric. The dye is less affected by the external environment and the color change is smaller.
Amino groups in amino silicone oil can react with dye chromophores. The more amino groups, the more likely the dye will be oxidized.
The structure of traditional block silicone oil affects the properties, and the degree of color change is between resin modified silicone oil and amino silicone oil.
